Welcome to Chippewa! Steel Tender 6′ 3″ Defenseman William Killoran

Jun 7, 2022

CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI – Another big body commits to Chippewa. The Steel are pleased to welcome 6’3″, 194 pound defenseman William Killoran to the organization!

According to Elite Prospects, Killoran (19) most played four seasons in Massachusetts with Belmont Hill School between 2017- 2022. In his senior season, he demonstrated leadership qualities by serving as team captain. He lead a group that went an outstanding 21-3-3.

Killoran might not be flashy, but in the defensive zone, he is a force. His long stick and frame make him difficult for forwards to maneuver. One of his strengths is his is durability with over 117 games played at Belmont Hill. He is reliable and consistent on the back end.

Despite being bigger in size, Killoran is a solid skater, especially closing gaps between himself and opposing team’s forecheck.

A tender is a contract, of sorts. A player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders – plus or minus any trades – which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.

The Steel are excited to bring him to Chippewa Valley and wish him congratulations!
