Steel Tender Goaltender Carter Wishart

Jun 11, 2022

CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI – The tenders are rolling in fast and furious. The Steel agree to tender goalie Carter Wishart.

Wishart is somewhat of a familiar face. He played two games for the Steel, both against the Janesville Jets on March 4th and 5th. He started the second game in which he made 24 saves on 27 shots in the overtime loss. The small sample size between the two games was a .821 SV%.

The Chaska, MN native is on the younger side – he just turned 17 in April. Elite Prospects has him measured at 6’1″ and 172 pounds.

Wishart takes tons of experience with him from playing at Chaska High.  With over 60 game appearances, his final record was 37-23-2 with a .896 SV%.

A tender is a contract, of sorts. A player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders – plus or minus any trades – which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.

The Steel wish him congratulations!
