Chippewa Steel Announce Internship Opportunities For 2022-2023 Season

The Chippewa Steel are members of the NAHL and play home games from September through April. The Steel are looking for interns to fill vital roles in the front office. Each internship has flexible hours and can be broken into a fall, spring or full-season internship opportunity.

The Steel internship program is designed to help you apply the knowledge and skills you have gained in your college courses to professional settings. It will also allow you the opportunity to:

• Explore a particular career path
• Confirm your choice of major
• Help you decide whether to pursue graduate studies
• Develop professional skills that aren’t easily gained through classroom learning

 

(2) Marketing Internship Spring/Fall/Full Season 

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Interns will help in coordinating in-game promotions
  • Contribute to team’s social media accounts
  • Execute/Development of Game Presentation-Game Day Music
  • Distribution of giveaway items
  • Serve as team on-ice emcee and run game presentation of in-game music
  • All other duties assigned by the Director of Communications

Team Photography Internship 2021-2022 Season

Responsibilities:

  • Take photographs on Steel game days of game action, fans, on-ice promotions
  • Upload all photos to team account.
  • Upload photos to social media accounts to increase digital presence
  • Photograph all staff and player headshots for website
  • Photograph team at community appearances
  • Must be available for most home games during season
  • All other duties assigned by Director of Communications

Media Relations Internship 2021-2022 Season

  • Provide website content including feature stories on players, game previews and game recaps along with press releases regarding roster changes and announcements of corporate partnerships
  • Send updates about game action on team social media accounts during games
  • Must be available for most home games during season
  • All other duties assigned by the Director of Communications

These are non-paid internships however, College Credit is available.
