The Chippewa Steel are proud to announce that two of their alums are attending NHL Development Camps this year: goaltenders Adam Gajan and Ajay White.
Adam Gajan is a 6’3″ goaltender from Slovakia. He played for the Steel during the 2022–2023 season, achieving an impressive .917 save percentage across 34 regular-season games and a .901 save percentage in three playoff appearances. Gajan also represented Team Slovakia at the IIHF World Junior Championship during both the 2022–23 and 2023–24 seasons. Currently, he is playing NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he appeared in 21 games last season. This summer, Adam will attend the Chicago Blackhawks Development Camp to gain valuable experience and training at the next level.
Ajay White, a 6’3″ goaltender from Pennsylvania, played with the Steel during the 2023–2024 season. He appeared in 32 games and recorded a .901 save percentage. Ajay is committed to the University of St. Thomas for the 2026–2027 season and will play in the USHL for the Fargo Force during the 2025–2026 season. This year, he will attend the Philadelphia Flyers Development Camp, where he will train alongside elite NHL prospects.
We are incredibly proud of both players and wish them the best of luck as they represent the Chippewa Steel at the NHL Development Camps.
