Bryceon Lago Signs Tender With Chippewa Steel

May 31, 2022

CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI – The Chippewa Steel are pleased to welcome Bryceon Lago to the Chippewa Steel following his tender signing!

According to Elite Prospects, Lago was born in Miami, Florida but has most recently played his hockey in New Jersey. He played three season with Bergen Catholic High School where he tallied 26 career points including 12 in just seven games during his senior season.

Lago is committed to Brown University to play Division I hockey but also hopes to study business and economics. In high school he was a member of the National Honor Society and the captain of the varsity ice hockey team. Lago describes himself as detail-oriented.

“Bryceon is a smooth skating, offensive defenseman, with great edges and a high hockey IQ,” Steel; head coach Casey Mignone said. “We are really excited for him to join the Steel.”

A tender is a contract, of sorts. A player signing means he has intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders – plus or minus any trades – which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.

The Steel are excited to bring him to Chippewa Valley and wish him congratulations!
